Introducing First Case – A New Podcast for the OR

Happy New Year! I hope that you had a fun (and safe) time celebrating the end of 2020. I enjoyed a great evening with my family and I’m definitely looking forward to a better and brighter 2021.

As we start off the new year, I am so excited to finally be able to tell you all about a project that I have been working on since last October! I was invited by the great folks at Beyond Clean back in October to help start a new podcast. A podcast for those of us that work in the operating room, hosted by people with real life OR experience. Podcasting was something that was very new to me – I’d never listened to a podcast before, much less hosted one! But I jumped at the chance to be a part of this exciting project.

And now, our podcast, First Case, has launched and episodes 1-3 released today! I can’t tell you how excited I am for you to get to listen to this podcast. We’ve interviewed some really amazing people, including Wendy Zander from Zander Perioperative Education. Wendy teaches a fantastic CNOR review course, and it was really fun to get to talk to her. There are so many other fabulous interviews, but, no more spoilers 😉

Where to find First Case

You can listen to First Case anywhere you like to get your podcasts, including Amazon Podcasts, iTunes, Stitcher, Google Podcast, and Spotify. Go check it out! And like, subscribe, and give me your feedback! I would love to hear your ideas about the topics that we should discuss. Since this is a podcast for OR people, we want to make sure we’re talking about the things that are most important to YOU.

I’ve created a tab in the menu here on my website, so you can easily click the First Case tab and listen to the latest episode. 🙂 Episodes 1-3 released today, and new episodes will release every other week for the rest of the year.

First Case is such an exciting adventure for me, and I’m glad that I finally get to share it with you. Go check it out, and have a listen! I hope that you enjoy it!

Until next time,

Melanie
